My Background
I am a specialist family law practitioner based in the South East.
I am former head of the London team at Family Law Partners, a top-tier “leading boutique firm” (Chambers UK 2021) and one of the top three family law teams in England & Wales according to The Times Best Law Firms 2023. During my time there the firm was voted Family Law Firm of the Year (South) and Family Law Dispute Resolution Team of the Year at the LexisNexis Family Law Awards 2021 and Medium Law Firm of the Year at the 2019 Law Society Excellence Awards.
Known for my calm and reassuring manner I give clear, pragmatic advice to help identify and achieve the best solution for you. I am recognised for being numerate, analytical and thorough, which makes me a particularly good match for those with complicated financial affairs.
I love sharing my experience and expertise and in recent years I have presented on the future of family justice alongside the President of the Family Division, the head of the FLBA and past and future chairs of Resolution. I train junior barristers on practice management and legal ethics and have co-authored a leading textbook on the law relating to unmarried couples.
In 2019 Citywealth named me Partner of the Year (Regional) at their Future Leader Awards and in 2020 listed me as one of the top 20 family and matrimonial lawyers in the UK. The Legal 500 lists me as a “Next Generation Partner” describing me as “bright, forward thinking and committed to finding the best resolution for his clients” and “among the best young legal minds”; it also recommends me for family mediation, describing me as “well-regarded”. In my younger days I was named as a “Top 35 Under 35” rising star by ePrivateClient and shortlisted for Associate of the Year at the Family Law Awards.
I was appointed a Deputy District Judge in 2021 and hear civil and financial remedies matters at the Central Family Court and across London and the South East.
